Anne was born in northern Germany. After graduating from gymnasium, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina, to live on and restore a 1959 motor-sailor.
After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Marylhurst University, she became a partner of Arciform LLC in 1998.
She is happiest when she works through challenging design problems for her clients, and she loves to explore vintage and salvage shops for treasures and inspiration.
A passionate contributor to the historical renovation community, Anne works with organizations such as the Architectural Heritage Center to educate and inspire her peers by participating in home tours and speaking on a wide array of remodeling topics. She is often consulted as an expert in the field of historic renovation, including serving as an advisor on the "Green Home Remodel Guide" developed by the City of Portland's Office of Sustainable Development.
Anne's work has been cited in numerous regional and national publications, including Old House Journal, Sunset, Cooking Light, and Northwest Renovation magazines, and in The Portland Tribune and The Oregonian newspapers. She was also featured in the books Natural Remodeling for the Not-So-Green House, published in 2006 and Salvage Secrets in 2011.
